This 1963 Porsche 356B Coupe was completed on September 4, 1962, as a 1963 model for the U.S. market, with coachwork by Karmann of Osnabruck. Introduced in 1962, the T6 variant was the last iteration of the 356B. This example was factory optioned with an Ivory (6204) finish over a Black leatherette interior and is accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity showing matching engine and transmission numbers. This example comes refinished in its factory Ivory (6204) color, and the side window frames have been re-chromed. The 15 slotted wheels are fitted with refinished chrome hubcaps are mounted with new Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. This 356B carries its original 1600cc flat-four engine, sending power to the rear wheels by way of a 4-speed manual transmission. The accompanying Porsche Certificate of Authenticity shows the chassis (211525), engine (609340), and transmission (58129) numbers. The current state of this lovely Porsche is exactly the way it was originally built. On the road, this T6 B is tons of fun with an engine that runs very well and feels like it has more than 60 HP. The gearbox shifts easily and doesn't need any special attention. The brakes, which are new, stop the car easily and keep it going straight. In short, this is a very good driver that is matching numbers throughout and is priced attractively.
